Ingredients
1/2lb cooked chick peas
1/2lb boiled potatos cut into 1/2 to 1" cubes
1 cucumber deseeded and diced very small
1 onion sliced as fine as you can
loads of coriander and mint chopped finely
chillis chopped finely (use chilli powder if you don't have fresh)
salt to taste
3 tsp tamarind paste (There's one by Barts which is very good, a lot better than the stuff in Asian shops)
1 tsp garam masala
1 tbsp sunflower oil
Recipe
Bring all the ingredients together in a bowl, mix thoroughly and leave covered in the fridge for at least an hour, should be left overnight for maximum flavour.
The oil isn't absolutely necessary but stops it going sludgy

As with all of my recipes don't take the quantities for granted cos I don't measure anything :)
