When flounder fishing (and eels for that matter), quite a lot of fish swallow the hook making them very difficult to release if small.

Heard a lot about circle hooks and their ability to hook in the mouth without striking.

I'm still unconvinced! Anybody use and swear by them?

Flounder have very small mouths. Also you have to use very fine wire hooks to get the maddies (harbour ragworm) on, which are also very small.

Eels tend to gorge baits very quickly, so end up hooked deeply.

Article would be very simple be carefull with guns its stings a bit when they get you also keep an eye on the person you are shooting with you never know when they are going to do something really stupid like leave the safety catch off on a gun

P.S Have some pics of the injury if anyone wants to see what happens when someone does that something stupid
