Hmmm looks okay but I am trying to restrict my time on here.there's so many things I should be doing, but yep looks okay! How would it be moderated? I know we are very responsible and ethical here..how would such spontaneity be monitored?

I hate the things myself

much prefer people not to know for sure that I am at the PC.

I used to suffer from people on ICQ etc, wanting to chat all the time.

it means you are either "rude" or get no work done.

I don't fancy a real time chat option, for the same reasons already mentioned. Modding would be a nightmare and my hens may be on it all the time.

does it have a use for specific events -a party for example? Can you bring it in to play occasionally?

that sounds a reasonable compromise on a lot of levels.

Otherwise I think it can be a negative thing. A lot of useful info could be lost in the ether if it is used, or conversely if people are not on it, it makes the site look dead to anyone looking in.
