Just fell across a 50% reduction on everything in Julian Graves in Bangor.

Don't know if it's a nationwide offer but I've just stocked up on all sorts of dried fruits and nuts, and seeds ... and a little pressie for vegplot

They don't usually reduce everything!
Must be what didn't go at Christmas.

They shut the one in Battle down

It's a Holland and Barrett now.

I asked (you know me!).
No, it's just a special promotion, so the woman said, on till next Wednesday.

It wasn't just Christmas goodies.

The one in Ipswich does this occasionally.
They advertise on the TV the night before and it's just a one day thing.
Blink and you miss it.

No, different principle altogether
We're fairly well off for 'wholefood' shops in this area (surprisingly) ...there's an excellent shop called Dimensions in Upper Bangor.
Bit expensive but well stocked. And Bethesda even has a wholefood co-operative ...sporadic opening hours but if you catch it, it's pretty good.

I still (20 yrs on ) miss the proper wholefood shop in Aberystwyth. "Maeth y Meysydd" (fruits of the fields), it was wonderful. Everything in huge sacks. Used to have to take in your own jars for honey.

I worked there a few times and my honey jar filling skills left a lot to be desired - could never get the timing of closing the 'tap' quite right

Same company. We have both here next to each other. Both managers came and worked at the sweet shop
