Oh, that's irritating. I want them to get on with it, then I can think about installing central heating when they're done.

The revaluation is just about done, the numbers are in. But the quote was " Oh are they, well we shall be the last to know, bunch of W*****s always tell us last"

Will that make a difference? I moved to a council tax band B(i think) but it was upped to a C after i moved in due to extensions etc that were done by the previous owner. I understood that they could not change the band until the house was sold.

The rebanding has already been completed in Wales . They managed to move us up two bands without asking any questions about central heating. In fact without asking any questions at all.

When I moved into our house I appealed against the c/tax band and go it lowered. Although the council said that home improvements such as central heating wouldn't affect the band and initially rejected my application when someone actually looked at our property they happily agreed.

I appealed and failed. but it meant that they had to send someone out to measure the area increased by the extensions, loft conversion and conservatory rather than just pluck a banding out of the air from planning permission approvals.
