I bought some really decent I hope knives for Snowball this XMAS.

We also got from my brother who was ever so pleased about his gift, an expensive looking set of Prime Profiline knives, which had "fallen off the back a of a lorry"

Now the thing is I bought exactly the same set (probably from the same lorry) a few years ago, thinking that I was getting a good deal, but found the knives to be not the greatest ever and find myself wondering if the whole thing is like the cheap watches in motorway service stations scam?

The knives come in a aluminium looking briefcase with combination lock and push brochure, and look pretty top class. Meant to retail for 100's, ...... sound familiar?

My OH got me some Sabatier knives and a sabatier steel 15 years ago....they are still going strong...an inspired investment from a man who's only culinary exploits are tea and cheese and marmalade sandwiches

sorry to say - but - these prima knives are manufactured in China, they are sold for about $19 USD (10). Most knives come from China now days, cheap labour plus cheap steel = cheap imports and high profits!
