I've got some mystery brassicas on the go which may be late brussel sprouts but they're not showing any interst in 'sprouting' or may be lat PSB. The exctiement of the mystery is almost too intense.

We had some in the shop before Christmas I suspect it was from a polytunnel. Ours is showing sprouts: should be ready in about 2 weeks.
We often eat the leaves and tops of our PSB: yummy. I guess that's what they were selling, Cab?
I guess so. Is there any advantage to lopping the tops off before it starts sprouting?

Dont' know, but it's supposed to work on Brussels to make the sprouts bigger, so maybe it works with PSB too. Off to sacrifice a couple of plants to science...
Had some last night stirfried with some garlic, chilli, cooking sherry and lots of oyster sauce. Phenomenal

Had some from the local farm shop, bit dissapointing I have to say. Which is a shame, as I was trying to convert the family to it. Just have to wait until we have our own next winter
