Suggesting this because I wanted to put a comment about Cab's "Real Christmas Spirit" article (not a terribly exciting comment - don't hold your breaths ) but I didn't want to put it in chat, and recycling is a bit narrow, so I thought, can we change recycling's name to "reduce reuse recycle"?

Then I also thought, in an ideal world we could put a link at the end of each article to the most appropriate board on the forum where people could follow up with questions etc - and the author would know where to keep an eye out for such things?

The bit about the conservation board was just suggesting it be merged with land management.

Could recycling be changed to:
Consumption: reduce, re-use, recycle
That way we'd keep recycle upfront, while broadening the obvious subject matter for the section.

Conservation and land management are completely seperate issues.

Conservation relates to everything one does that effects the enviroment and the biodiversity within.

Land management affects conservation, but conservation is about habitat management.

Conservation equally applies to the farmer, small holder, shooter, fisherman, forager or even the concerned person who lives in a terrace and puts out a bird feeder.

I think conservation MUST remain a title topic!

Keep conservatio, but there definitely should be a reduce, recycle, re-use thread (thought about it the other day but forgot to tell anyone)

When I started the site, the first few articles were posted on the main site, but also to the appropriate forum, and then I edit the article to link to the post in the forum.

I think this was a good idea, but somehow it has fallen by the way side.

Fairy nuff - only suggesting it really because they had seemed still a little quiet and it might make the forum look busier (read, more attractive to come back to) if all boards look well used. It's all looking good today though, I think the worst is 29 Nov.

I'm not sure about posting the whole article in the forum because we want people to add to/update their articles, and having it in two places would cause confusion. But a note/first par in the relevant forum would be good and gives people food for thought and an idea of what subjects are best where.

Only thing is with some of the recent articles I couldn't think of a good place for the discussion to go. Eg Sarah D's Home Education - it would be a pity to put it in Chat because that's too general but the only other two I can think of are Does it Really Matter and Skills/Finance. Some of the others are quite obvious of course.

Hmmm.

I have been stuck a few times on where to post But the forums are unfinished business. I think we have radically improved the categories from when we started, but no one has set them in stone yet.
