I am ever on the watch for protein in my garden.

However I appear to have a competitor.

Sitting at the breakfast table with Whiteleggs 2,3&4.

I was observing the pigeons and squirrels going about there business. Wishing everyone would hurry up eating their breakfasts and leave me alone in the dining room

Nice fat wood pigeon sitting on a branch. Squirrel (a la Tom Cruise, sneaking from tree to tree....on to the same branch & jumps for the pigeon ) Near miss, pigeon escape by the skin of his beak!!!

I'd heard of squirrels doing this but never actually seen it before!!

Now I don't feel so bad about the four sitting in the freezer already!
