No, I don't know. I do know that ART have a big collection, and obviously sell trees too. He must be affected.

It affects a few species of oak too but not so dramatically.

https://www.teigntrees.co.uk/blog/2017/sweet-chestnut-blight-devon

In early March 2017 the number of quarantined zones in Devon and the Southwest was increased to 4 after additional confirmed outbreaks. Initially 2 areas in Devon were affected a zone around the Exe Estuary focusing on the village of Starcross and also an area of coastal North Devon between Ilfracombe and Braunton. The 2 new areas are an area around Willand in central Devon and also an area between Yeovil and Sherborne. There is a Prohibition in these areas.

Hope it doesn't get to the ones on the Commons.

You've got rather more chestnut trees than we have I suspect.

hmmm, ten miles away; we have two twenty-year-old sweet chestnuts, in a row with Ash and Elm. And hazel. Anything on the horizon for hazel?

Not so far, can't be too far off though.

Hope they can contain the outbreak. Doesn't look good to have new areas of infection though.

I really hope we don't get anything affecting hazel, as there are several counties in the south of England that have large areas of it. They are already under threat from neglect and pulling up for development or owners whims.
