Any of you craft workers selling something special for Valentines day ?
I'm making some "steel roses" and a few "heart shaped" things.

We have a box that comes out this time of year with My Husband Loves Me and stuff like that. But it's not a big time for us to be honest.

Is that in your house? Or at the shop?

I'm suprised - after your rousing show of Christmas spirit I thought you would be looking forward to the next big card and pressie fest

Ah well, despite my perchant for all things social and festive its just not something I go for.
Its a rip off gimmick designed to take money off the foolish with "social pressures". And its my birthday which used to be far more important when I was young!

You know, I think that this is the first year here that I haven't started off the Valentines discussion Good stuff, for once I don't get accused of being the site sissy-lubby-dubby.

Haven't picked out a Valentine thingy yet. Rather struggling this year, especially as its her (censored number) birthday a week after.

Normally I like valentines day and as it was our anniversary a few days before it's always been a nice week. this year its jusy gonna suck! I think I'll stay in bed or fly to pluto for the week. It will be first year (as an adult) not celebrating it

2steps: I think you have to find an alternative. Other than sitting in a corner with Bernie66, of course!

I agree! You need to turn it into a "you" day. Celebrate yourself and do things you enjoy. Think of some things that you like to do on your own - was there anything that you maybe found you didn't do so much because your ex wasn't into it? If so, do it on Valentines Day!
