Having struggled half the day with a quad speed CD rom. I checked the current prices for simple CD Rom drives and find it to be under ï¿½10 inc Vat, from places like TekHeads. So I just popped to the local "wholesale price" PC place, where they want to charge ï¿½19.99 I have seen dual layer DVD writers for ï¿½33 lately So I'm having one final go with the quad speed.
