Hi all, long time no see etc.

OH is running a Guide camp over the weekend in Sheffield. We urgently need some wood for a campfire on Saturday night as the campsite is a bit short.

I know it's a long shot, I can't really pick up from anywhere outside Sheffield/Northern Peak District, and I have nothing to offer in exchange except gratitude and possibly an order for some firewood in the winter. Anyway, if anyone can help, PM me by tomorrow or give me a ring - 07974 722243.

I may know someone who has a trailer load of smashed up oak cabinets available free. Hang on I will check.

Doesn't that make you want to build a smoker?

If you ask Wickes nicely, they'll be quietly delighted if you took away a load of their pallets. Massively more eager to part with the things than any of the other DIY sheds - around here anyway. ("Just don't take any with Wickes painted on them!")

Also try the plumbing and building centres as drainage pipe comes in wooden frames that are a pain in the but to get rid of.

Thanks all,

I currently have some window frames and fencing courtesy of Freecycle, plus three offers from on here. I love the internet.

Naomi - if they're local to me I'll take them. Have PM'd details
saffranne - have PM'd you

Everyone else - good idea. Trying to avoid pallets if possible, but if I get desperate...
