I used to go to a mates' house for drinky poos, and when half sozzled, had to negotiate a narrow stairwell, which was artexed floor to ceiling. I too suffered firs degree flesh wounds to the arms on many occasions. Hate the stuff.
one thing though, I put in a suspended ceiling in my last cottage, put up plaster boards, skimmed the joins, then painted with a thick textured paint and a coarse roller. If you are really insistent about the artex then you can use a textured roller for that, too, which is quick and easy. |
