Mochyn, I think you have what is called a software conflict. This occurs when your pc is trying to be clever and think for you. It assumes that you want such and such, so uses a particular piece of software. Close down the video editing software, if needs be by using ctrl alt del together, then open IRFANVIEW, and use that.
If you look further back up this thread you can see I also had initial probs, but this is actually really easy to use!...When you get to the "save as" bit, a chunk springs up on the right, and that's where you size it down.
