Does it have to be woodland you can get to easily or doesn't that matter? I don't know if there are still Woodlands for sale down near my mum and dad in Battle, East Sussex, but I remember seeing signs down there a while ago, for 10 grand. Not sure how much land, though.

It doesn't have to be woodland but I would be interested in somewhere that could either be planted or restored woodland. It would be along term investment of at least 20 years with the aim of using the wood, not building.

MM, I've looked at the details of some of the woodland for sale people and it does seem to rule out shooting, although that would depend on the neighbours. I've always thought the rules would be easy to get round for pest management reasons though.

The covenant on my wood only rules out commercial shooting, clay and target shooting, and basically anything that causes a nuisance to neighbours. pest control is fine.
