OH bought a pair of waterproof trousers back from America - wore them for fishing off the rocks in the pouring rain and realised that having a zip fly on them was a major design fault - next time he will have to wear a longer coat

You can get very similar, functional stuff from skiing shops. I'm pretty sure we re-waterproof our stuff by adding something to the washing machine and doing it that way.

TechWash and TechProof wash ins work fairly well on most garments, I think you can use them on Gortex.

hi sorry if abit late in the subject but a good place for outdoor kit is go outdoors they have a website just google it and they are a discount stre so very reasonable i am saying this as my brother is a assistant manager at the oxford branch and staff discount has worked wonders but i would reccomend them
