I've used this lot ion the past though the best crop I had was a variety they no longer supply called 'music'.

Its widely available in North America but can't find a supplier here.

Most farms save their own seed. You'll just want to save nice large bulbs, that don't look unhealthy in anyway.

Big concerns would be if you had white rot, garlic bloat nematode, and maybe bulb mite less so.

If the site's been free of onions/garlic for a while you'll probably not have any problems.

As far as I know it hasn't had either grown there in quite a few years.
