Quite a long time ago I had this odd idea that looking after bees was a peaceful uncomplicated thing to do.

Uncomplicated!!!!----after years of being stung and fine I got stung on the head because a bee got trapped in my hair while I was innocently hoeing a couple of weeks ago---I was really not well as a result[ understatement ] I now have to take a tablet everyday in the summer before I go out, carry different tablets as a first line of defense and an Epipen if that fails----had a very heated discussion with O.H. who wanted me to keep away from them--- and now compromised on him doing most of the handling under supervision---you can get stung through gloves---but I won't give my bees up.
