Hullo Bunnykiller

Please don't read anything in to my username, I'm unrelated to the cartoon rabbit with the penchant for cross dressing. Honest

Hi Guys, thanks for the Welcome ...hope to join in where and when i can .... my preffered methods of killing said bunnys are with a Lurcher and lamp or Ferrets and nets with Lurcher as back-up ..although i have just got an allotment which is overrun by Pesky Big-eared things so have just bought a nice Air rifle to plink with ..

Ruddy hell, din't realise such equipment was needed for "bunny killing" ... and I was thinking of getting a few pet buns as our next venture inot the self-sufficient lifestyle. Well, I still am actually but I won't be getting a gun! When I was a Chef "en angleterre" we had much less sophisticated (but humane) methods of killing 'em. I think I will be going down the old roads.

Just grab their heads and back legs, pull and twist. Not done it myself but seen it done when our pet rabbits decided to keep us in fresh meat when I was a lad.

You getting one of those 5 foot long bunnies then Simon?

No, just the little cute one I think.

Not that they are cute to me. I have never had much fondness for Rabbits except in a stew. I have made it clear to a local breeder that we could do with a couple (one of each) and he is gonna let me know when they are available.

I don't think I will have any trouble "sorting them out" when we are over-run! At least, not as much trouble as I would have going into Tesco (en angleterre) and buying a chicken for 1.99 which has obviousely been factory farmed.

All our animals - whatever they may be - have the best lifestyle we can give 'em before "le chop". That is the only way I could ever eat meat again (and I havn't had any since 1998). Looking forward to my best friend "Mr Piggy" being fat enough at the end of this year!

.... and back to the topic in question .... I can't wait to eat a few bunnies in the interim! Raised on good grass and dandelions for a happy life first - of course

Does your allotment allow air rifles then?
