Sorry, French pedantry coming out again. I think it is "bette cardes". I've certainly eaten "cardes" in a white sauce en France.

Cedilla - Alt +135 on numeric keypad.

Edited to say that we are both right - blette seems to be the southern term!

Well I did it by holding down the Alt key and typing all the numbers between 1 and 200 in succession!!!
I'm sure there is a techie way to do it

I'm on a mac. And mostly I correct people's English for a living so I've never found out how to do squiggles. I probably should though.

it's the character map you're wanting... i use it when i need to put print on something for paint shop pro since they don't give you all the symbols you need (like for instance, i watermark my photo's!)

if you go to Start---> Find--->Files or Folders then type in 'character map' you should find it as an .exe file near the top of the listing... dead simple

oh one tip about the character map... you don't have to remember numbers and you can leave it open just like you do other windows you have running so you can show off like this:

basically double click on the symbol you want it will appear in the upper right box, then simply cut and paste

I did suggest Character map at the top as it is what I normally use but I think Judith's way would be easier once you learned the alt codes
