well why when people get angry with the Bass thingy do they pick on my name ?? bunny murderer and bunny whasisname... *sigh* maybe i should change my name to fluffykins or fishhugger...nevermind tho ...
when i first left school and went to work on the trawlers there was this old fella that used to make gurnard pate it was the best pate i have ever tasted,i used to swap him a box of Gurnards for a couple of pots of pate, sadly this old fella died years ago before i ever had an inkling that i would or could turn my hand to making some so never got the recipe... like Tahir does, Gurnard baked in the oven is nice but i prefer to use a sweet cider than wine.
I guess i am kinda lucky that i dont have to rely on a fishmonger and that if i cant or dont catch a particular species i can just wander down the quay and blag some for free.... its spratting time at the moment so guess what we are gonna be feasting on??? yummmm..

Well fluffy, the moral of the story is that places like this are a valuable resource for the preservation and transmission of knowledge

I think Bunnykiller is so much the opposite of Bunnyhugger that it's bound to attract some comment, BK, if you like the name (I think it's quite funny) then don't worry about it and your posts will demonstrate to anyone who takes the time to look that you are not neccessarily going to lurk about on stormy nights with an axe and bulging eyes.

You aren't, are you?

Lovely dog in your avatar now, is (s)he yours?

Pah i havn't even got an axe!!!!
Yup that there dog is to be my latest bunny execution machine
she is called Moomin and is a greyhound/deerhound/collie i bought her as a pup last november to replace my old lurcher Muppet who was a bit of a legend round here .... if Moomin is only as half as good as Muppet i will be happy and i am sure she will be ...
I will be using her for lamping and with her other partners in crime The FERRETS!!! so i will then have a day/night thing going on ..which reminds me i should really spend less time on here and start making more nets .....

I have Well, it's TD's but I know where he keeps it

She sounds great (love the names too). Forgive the ignorant question but are they hard to train, isn't their instinct to disappear with the rabbit? I've always wondered this about lurchers.

Hi Bugs ..sorry i have been away for a while doing bits and bobs ..no they dont run with the Rabbit its all in the training just a bit like when u train a dog to bring back a ball or a stick, u have to teach the dog like its a game where the rabbit belongs to you and the dog gets praise for bringing it to you ... i usually have some rabbit furs frozen in the freezer and i defrost one and wrap it round a washing up bottle filled with sand which i throw to be retrieved, this helps as there is the scent the weight and also the feel of fur in the mouth ...once they have caught the 1st real bunny there is no looking back and things just get better ...
