I'm confused, the origional poster didn't say they were Portugese?
Thank you for confirming that I did not say that I was Portuguese in my original question re Agricultural property and the eligibility to purchase same. No doubt I am not alone when reading some of the comments on this forum, which have done nothing more than muddy a simply enquiry.
Living outside of the UK for more than 91days plus and for example Portugal, you are obliged to take up residency for tax purposes. Being a "resident" of any country does not of course alter your "nationality. This will also apply in France.
Thank you again for all those who have taken the trouble to respond with sensible and much appreciated information. The rest simply have a good day.
Obrigada. Thank you). The Algarve.

You can have mine if you have 375,000. Typical just getting sorted and husband has been told job relocating! So up for sale but if not sold he will just commute 2.5hrs is not that bad commute wise nowadays.
