I meant to say Mrs Nesbit, meaning I can easily help make her (an anyone else's) pictures smaller for the site so don't worry if anyone cannot do this. We would rather have a good pic that can be edited.

Techie warning, don't read on unless you want to...

As with the internet one, the article would be aimed just as much at my mum as she takes pics on a 3 megapixel camera and emails them to me. I have broadband, so I can easily receive them, but it takes ages to process them as they are so large.

It must be possible to knock up a little app that could be easy to use and would reduce the size of a pic. I know people can set their digital cameras to take less detailed pics but this will also be hard to explain.

https://download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/Install/2/WXP/EN-US/ImageResizerPowertoySetup.exe

is a link to the XP power toys picture resizer. Just right click on a group of images and a sinmple dialog later, they are resized.

Here are some landscapy ones. I've got them as JPEGs, but I can change the format if they're any use for the logo. I don't seem to have any relevant ones for articles at the moment.

Sorry Mind you they're a lot smaller than Jonnyboy's photo of his mushroom on RC was.

Just that 7mb of out 250mb quota has now gone on photos.

Since we have had attachments for only about 3 weeks, this may suggest a problem.

no worries for a while though.

I don't anticipate posting many. I did these at high resolution in case they were useful. If they're no use I'll delete them anyway.
