It's a trout river that empties into a big estuary. The river channel is right by the bank so I can fish at any state of the tide. I'd very much welcome advice about when to fish, tackle to use, bait etc.

Traditional wisdom is to fish on the rising tide, for trout you could try a bubble float and a worm, but any fly fishers will be aghast!

might pick up flounder or other flatties fishing on the bottom too....
