Weird. Doesn't like the third pic & I can't see why I've tried resizing and renaming so that's your lot.

Awww. Lovely. The boys went to the local dog show this afternoon ... I am angling for a wolfhound to train as an assistance dog, but they came back with nothing. Sadly disappointed

Are you having trouble with wolves? Seems like the ideal dog for a smallish bungalow.

This is Octavia. Tavy, for short. She is a not very old golden retriever cross poodle.

A mongrel.

Call her a Groodle and you can probably flog her on for nine hundred quid.

they are huge, very huge, eat a lot and need a 3 seater sofa to themselves
they fart a lot and their fur is quite smelly
they are often rather dim and apart from chasing big things are hard to train
they need a lot of outdoor running in a safe place to keep them fit and tired
they dont last long, big dogs often die youngish, a 10 yr old would be unusual

i quite like the ones i have known but....

deerhound x greyhound lurchers have less of the above disadvantages , most of the advantages of big sight hounds and are usually quite smart and charming

Their 'proper' name is a 'golden doodle' but it's actually a first gen mongrel!

She's very pretty though!!!

Groodle is apparently the Australian name. You're right on both other counts.

Jenna met a couple of Scottish deerhounds the other day. They were delighted to lick her face, even though they had to bend down. She thought they were marvellous. She could have ridden them!

Octavia is lovely. You named her after my car, I trust.

Very cute little beastie. I have been told I am not allowed a dog. Apparently one dysfunctional turkey stag is enough.

My, very local, experience suggests that when a husband tells a wife she's not allowed a puppy, one turns up anyway.
