i have found about 50 in a patch a few times , but my 3 patches could provide a haul like that over the season. nice though, it will happen if you keep looking. it usually happens when you have only got pockets rather than baskets:lol:

I need to find exactly where it is but Sean has found a great spot in the New Forest, it's about time really, as I have complained before foraging has been remarkably bad since we moved down this way. I think when we were in Swindon there was little available but we were one of the few hedge botherers. In the forests its the opposite.

the soil temp needs to be under 5 C for blewits to fruit i had a patch that was at it's best with a surface frost.
