Had insisted that Mrs Fang (with my 50) drive down to Shrewsbury to get a free range, organic bronze; fair play, she not only came back with 20 change (fantastic value), but had called in to a farm shop and got all the veg too.

Trade off was that I had to peel it (the veg not the bird); not a problem mind.

Had 7 people round for Festivities, and all were very complimentary about the taste of the turkey, and TBH, most of them probably meant it.

Stripped the carcass Xmas Day, made some excellent stock (now frozen).

26th - leftover stew;
27th- leftover curry;
28th- thought about a turkey fricasse; thought better of it, as what was left was essentially in the first stages of fossilisation- so thought 'sod it' and binned what was left and got out some of the stock for a lentil and bacon soup.

29th- Turkey free zone......
