vaccine trial to see if it is effective(probably will be) and can an immune moo be identified as clearly not an infected moo?

iirc it was about 5 years ago that this might take ten years so hooves crossed by 2025 bovine tb will not be an issue for badgers or moos

I read that too. If it works and it both works and they can tell the difference between immunity and infected it will be a very good thing. I believe it was the test between the two that was the major stumbling block to effectively using a vaccine.

yep telling infected from vaccinated successfully was the problem

there has been an effective vaccine for ages but an immune moo tests as a positive case which is a big problem

afaik this new vaccine has been tweaked to avoid giving false positives when testing for an active infection.

the lab scale trials took 5 years, the wide trials will take the same time but it is a game changer for farmers, moos and badgers if it is as good in the field as it is in the lab.
