i have had alot of broodie hens this year but the most ive hatched from each clutch is 1 if any but my m8 used the same eggs from my laying hens and his all hatched so hes got a clutch of 6 and one of 7 . am i doing sumthing wrong?

I doubt if it is anything you are doing Carl - I think some chooks are just better at it than others. I have one particularly useless, but enthusiastic broody who has so far managed to raise 1 chick out of about 7 attempts. She has just started sitting on another clutch today - I am not holding my breath!
