Good catchy subject.
I've tried it and I must say I was more than pleasantly surprised. I initially tried some from the supermarket, no variety and no mention of what part of the animal it came from.
I then tried a joint from a game dealer, I don't think it mentioned what deer, but it was probably fallow? I have also tried Munjac which was labelled and very was good quickly roasted.
I went back to buy some more but they didn't have any as they said the corn was too high and they couldn't see the critters.
My main complaint is that, for an animal that's meant to be a big pest down here, why is it so difficult and expensive to get hold of?
Tahir, excuse my ignorance, but how would a deer need to be killed for Halal venison? Does a wild shot deer not help?

I must have missed that one, where/how do the advertise this?
Personally I think far more could be done to encourage people to eat venison in this country, I thought we export most of the animals that are shot? |
