Our latest article is a good introduction for designing our gardens to be more friendly to wildlife. It can be found here:

https://www.downsizer.net/Projects/Sustainable_Building%10Energy_Efficiency/Principles_of_Designing_Gardens_for_Wildlife/

After spending a few years improving our back garden for wildlife we're beginning to see great results with the increasing amount of animals and plants.

Richard, who wrote it, thoroughly knows his stuff - he runs the Space for Wildlife website, so even if you have a vague interest in the idea but don't think you have the time or space to do something, read it, you might be surprised

I found the article to be absolutely wonderful when first I read it this morning! I have even started on digging out a pond around the back to encourage wildlife. In fact it is quite a big pond at that. will try to get some pictures on here tomorrow. Other than that I have set tomorrow aside for doing the illustrations for the latest book. Sorry Tahir, Nanny ... I won't spend too long photographing my new pond ... got some drawing to do
