So,we need a new computor.

All we do is internet,e-mail,photos,labels,word processing, playing music.

We have NO interest in playing games or watching films on it.

We have wi-fi,and,as we have a basic laptop,I would prefer another desktop, preferably with a large screen.

Suggestions please .

like gold-dust. In many town centres are the modern replacements for pawn-brokers. You can get a lappy, even one with Windows 7 on it for about half the original price (at most).

Also classified columns of local rag, e.g. recent freeby: towers @ 40 and 20, complete Dell system (flat screen, XP professional) 90.

Then there's back street computer shops, likely to have second-hand systems at a good price.

I've also bought from Curry's on-line, can find some bargains in their "refurbished" section.

Don't spend any more than is necessary - save your dosh for the important things in life, for example, we are getting close to the release date for 2013 Beaujolais Nouveau!

I have a Dell Dimension C52 that I'm unlikely ever to use again. You're more than welcome to it. Have keyboard and flat screen monitor for it as well. You'd be welcome to it.

It's had Windows 7 Professional installed on it recently and is a clean machine with the latest updates and Microsoft Security Essentials installed.

https://store.apple.com/uk/buy-mac/imac

big screen, (27 inch) delivered to your door. Does emails, compatible with iPhones, manages photos, can pay later (14.5% APR).

If you play "spot the lappy" on the telly, you'll notice that if the person using the computer is either stinking rich or has a PhD, there is a 90% the user has an Apple Macbook.
