this one is very simple
one volume of frozen summer fruits at approx -20C
one volume of gin at approx 4 C
stir that a few times over about 5 mins so as the fruits separate and start to warm a bit
add one volume of warm water at approx 35C
stir for a minute
the result is dry, slightly astringent and at a perfect cocktail temperature
adding odds and ends* might tweak it a little, but the basic mix has merit as it is
it is a perfect pre-dinner drink, although half a pint for brunch might be unwise
* salt, maple syrup and perhaps a hint of vanilla
i will let you know

sieved into small apéritif glasses with a single prize berry would be sensible and stylish
the slightly spent fruit could make a nice sauce or tart filling
even with no tweaks it is rather nice, that fizzy stuff is very overrated as a mixer
