Only his early stuff really, I did get one his later albums (can't remember what it's called) but couldn't get on with it. Nick Cave's been my favourite singer/songwriter for years now, and Gillian Welch is excellent too

Could tell you a funny story about leonard Cohen's music!!! Heard him sing on Later with Jules Holland. GREAT!!! Brought all memories of Suzanne etc etc flooding back to me, music I was well into at Uni. He was plugging his new album, The Future. Track concerne....Repent! Ofcourse being the impatient gal I am, had to dash out and get this album. Folllowing day it was my assembly at school.theme........Saying Sorry!!! I had a reputation on the staff as bringing in modern music to illustrate/introduce themes...so what better way than to play my new c.d. Great opportunity. FORTUNATELY I listened to the entire track... verse 2 starts......" Give me crack and anal sex" ... needless to say it did not make my assembly. Heck, I'd have had all the kids asking me what it was!!!.. believe me they would have known what crack was!!

I have a Leonard Cohen compilation, as well as an album of Leonard Cohen covers by Jenifer Warnes. I gave away one of his albums recently because it wasn't very good, but can borrow it back if you want me to.
Also have a good sized Van Morrison collection to boot.
I had a fantastic night last night listening to Supertramp and sipping (to start with ) our wine....but I think it's more like a liquer!!!

Still hanging with the kids then, Mrs N? The Jenifer Warnes album, Famous Blue Raincoat, is very eighties in terms of production, but she does all of the songs well. I think her First We Take Manhatten is better than the original.
