the veg beds look a bit empty things went a bit wrong with all the bad weather etc. what could i still plant this week and get some veg befre winter

I have some spare leek plants if you would like.. a bit big, but I overseowd. Also butternut squash pants, and tomato plants... any good?

As its cool(!) for the time of year spinach would still do well. Rocket, Pak Choi and even Fennel. Beetroot too.

ooh wouldnt say no to the tomato plants if thats ok. I have a butternut squash in but could put one in a tup by the side of the house maybe it would hvae more chance.

i have beetroot seeds and maybe fennel I'll give them a go.

On GQT the other week, they said pretty much any main 'summer' cropping veg could be planted till the end of June ...so you've got a week! EV

Real Seeds have a fantastic guide: Monthly calendars: https://www.realseeds.co.uk/Monthlysowing.html - I'd look at May onwards myself. I've just resown courgettes etc as they have sat still for the last month. And a specific summer sowing guide: https://www.realseeds.co.uk/summersowing2.html and their seeds are absolutely excellent.

I over estimated the quinoa, so have seedlings if the slugs did not decimate them...will check. Also might have white beetroot seedlings, just a slack handful though... if any of that is any good to you...

Oh thanks for the offer, I'm not sure if I will get over your way soon enough, plus this rain makes gardening less than fun doesnt it? maybe best i leave these with you. Thanks for offer mind

With the July issue of Kitchen Garden you get, Carrot, Lettuce, Spinach Beet and Coriander seeds, all for �3.90. All for sowing right now.
