Get some spinach going in there. Space the plants when they get going and they should keep in spinach all winter

I also sow pak choi and chinese cabbage in there this time of year - might have to follow my own advice and do that this weekend. Weather forecast looks like it's set for some good polytunnel time...

Lots can go in now - oriental veg (mizuna, mibuna, Komatsuma etc), spinach, winter lettuce, chard, Florence fennel, corn salad, spring cabbage, pak choi, turnips, kale, beetroot.

Next month you can also do overwintering onions and mangetout.

For anyone new to polytunnel growing I think this is a great book THe Polytunnel Book by Joyce Russell

Can beetroot also be grown in a greenhouse at this time of year? I'll be growing carrots in the greenhouse, but I wasn't sure about beetroot.

My book says they are OK to sow in the early part of the moth to give small roots into early winter or an early spring crop if growth is slow.
