|
We have been here before, but I never got it sorted.
Today, I have lots of single strand electric tape, two energisers, two solar panels, a battery, sun and a field I need to divide.
The panels have a red and black lead.
The chargers have a live to fence, an earth, and a red and black lead.
The battery has a + and - terminal.
I have no idea how to lash these together to make the fence work.
Can someone please draw me a very, very simple picture?
The solar panels have a diode in them, if that helps.
I am happy to use one or two energisers/panels.
Is it as simple as red wire from the panel and the energiser to the battery +ve, and the same with the black wires? |

OK.
500m of wire run out on plastic posts, two solar panels, one battery, and one energiser later, eleven inquisitive noses have been shocked and they're currently in the right place. No, I doubt they'll stay there long, either, but for now, it's up and running.
It actually worked fine for several hours with no battery, as the sun was shining, and I thought I'd better give the battery a charge to give us a head start.
Thanks for the advice. |
