Not exactly land management but... The new pond is going to need a liner of about 10m x 8m. It's not stony or anything so depending on which liner I might not need an underlay. It's inevitable that it will be used by the dogs and I hope not to have to provide drinkers for the hens in future. Any recommendations?

It's like a coated woven fabric and I didn't have any leaks in the pond after several years use (we've now moved). I've even used the off-cuts as groundsheets, covers over the years and it seems very tough. In order to qualify for the guarantee you do need a liner though. It doesn't stretch so fitting might be a bit more tricky than some but I'd use it again.

That's much cheaper than what I've been looking at but the liner is more expensive!

Thank you. It is confusing but I suppose I'll just have to go for it and hope it lasts a good few years. I cannot imagine complaining in 34 years time. ( I didn't enjoy that maths. )
