I like how they say they will raise 5.2 billion from selling shares. A bit presumptuous that people will buy them, aren't they.

Yes, but don't forget that they'll be sold to equally gullible city types and other banks and financial institutions.
A bit like turkeys buying shares in Bernard Matthews...

Sadly, maybe, but realistically, and by necessity, should you have a pension fund.
