Yeah, I read about this a while ago. Looks like an interesting development - will be interesting to see how it turns out, and what the impact will be when it's up and running!

I hate to piss on a progressive idea but although there is a side article to the above which claims farmers are gearing up to grow biomass crops I have found a supplier to the UK industry who supplies a lot more exotic materials. Whilst I haven't done the research on them all the Palm extracts will presumable come from the same plantations that have responsible for mass deforestation in Borneo for example. Obviously I hope that we can supply enough of our own materials to fuel the stations but seeing as we cannot appear to do that on anything else we use i.e fruit & veg. then why should we think that we can supply all our own biomass. I think this will need keeping an eye on.
