interesting in that having protected the urban squat allotments (by making a fuss and getting cash from a few rich folk )there is a small but growing loose group of collectives who produce good food for the citizens locally and affordably.
as the land was derelict the cash thing seems unhelpful but by trying to sell a hundred plus sites in one go the power balance was changed from those who think they own to those who use .
It always seems like a bit of a giggle - when those who have a tenure on life of say 40 years as an adult, try to say that in some perverse way, they have some sort of ownership on land which has in it's own right a history stretching back many millions of years !
