I always read these posts as Royal bank of Scotland. They'd be a sight more useful if they did do cattle foot trimming.

We have our course dates up for 2014.

We're doing fewer charcoal courses this year. Now that our courses are fully catered they take a lot more out of us than they used to. Due to building our house, running the charcoal business and the courses last year was really intense. We want to run courses that are not only informative but also inspiring and enjoyable. So we thought that we'd go for fewer courses this year and therefore have more energy to put into them.

As well as the charcoal courses, we're running a food-smoking course in the autumn. We cold-smoke our own bacon and hot smoke a roast dinner most weeks. Because lots of people ask us about food-smoking when we are smoke roasting or hot-smoking food for our courses, it seemed like an obvious course to run.

We hosted a 1 day bowmaking course last year where people made a primitive bow and it was fully booked with people asking for more so Matthew Yung who ran it is coming back this year to run that course and a 2 day course to give the opportunity to make a more sophisticated bow.

We also have a different sort of charcoal course with Liza Harding coming down to Devon to teach charcoal drawing techniques using the artists charcoal that we make. It seems kind of cool to use the charcoal to capture the woods in which it grew.

That looks good - we might try and make the cafe evening!

I have Beginners Chicken Keeping and From Hatch to Despatch courses running regularly this year, and will be putting some Despatch/Pluck/Dress in when I have enough interest.

https://greenmeadowpoultry.co.uk/courses.html

If these dates aren't suitable, I'm fairly flexible during the week in school term times.

We're hoping to be a bit more able to chat at the cafe evening. The open day was a bit too manic for networking.

You did look slightly frazzled

I have a Children's 'Beginners Chicken Keeping' running next Saturday morning. Quote me 'I saw your post on downsizer' and your child can come along at 10 discount - full price 45, discounted price 35. Three hours, ish. See my website for further details.

I'm a bit scared to be honest. I've got two twelve year old girls booked on it and I'm frightened they're going to judge me and then tell all their friends how crap I am on Whatsapp.

I wouldn't worry about that. All your own friends will be too old to know what Whatsapp is, won't they?
