I would have thought a slimy animal like yourself would be very busy until the end of tomorrow at least.

Sadly I, like indeed many other species, nay genera, am disenfranchised by a grossly humanocentric electoral system.

It is possible that if they look really hard they may find there are more in Scottish rivers that was thought. Various wildlife trusts did this with dormice and were surprised at how many woods considered 'unsuitable' by the experts still contained them.

I realise A. Lamprey had very different problems and requirements to a dormouse, but with the improvement in cleanliness of rivers over the last few years, hopefully his kinsmen are just hiding from us mere humans, as I hope they are not all as big as the one seen in the picture.

Oi! No thanking the recipe-posting elephant on behalf of a species other than your own.

We are however grateful to him for all his hard work, making this a land safe for lampreys great and small.

Hi Mr Lamprey

Could you point me to the elephant's recipe please - If you're really back, I feel the need to sample one of your species
