You're a good man

Me - I'd eat the squirrel and give the dogs a swap for something they'd like more - A chicken maybe !

I think we might take the air rifle up to the woods and try for one. There are lots about on the hazel bushes taking the nuts at the moment.

they are much easier to shoot on the ground than they are in a bush or tree so take some peanut butter to create a bait station kill zone

or use a weighted snare on a log propped at a slope against a tree, the weight makes for a kinder death than a simple dangle .

I could try some of my biscuits. There was one that opened the biscuit box and pinched some biscuits. That one definitely had a pellet with its name on it, but I think a buzzard got it first.

Is this an especially good year for squiggles? I have never seen them in and around my house but this year there are plenty and they are very bold.

If they come into my garden it is warfare....

There is quite a good crop of nuts round here, so they will be after them. Dpack, they could be planning a party, but I make sweet biscuits, although they could be quite good with cheese I would think.
