I have a couple of sets of old golf bats - They seem to be pretty much unsellable as "Second hand golf clubs" - Our local charity shop can't get ï¿½1 each for them either. SO what inventive "Adapts" are there for old golf bats with SS shafts and decent grips on them ? I already carry one when we go blackberrying, to use as a hook . Anything else ?

Strap one to the top bar of your bicycle to fend off angry dogs when you pedal past. Or if you can get enough cyclists together you could have a game of bike polo.

Bearing in mind some of the punctuation we get around here, I read that as: "Arm the local neighbourhood. Watch."
