My OH calls it me 'safe ing' things. I put it away but cant always remember where. I will try the phone idea. its not I am completely forgetful theres just a lot in there.
he is the MOST untidy person in the universe.
leaves it where he last used it and despite expecting me to keep everything clean and tidy I get moaned at when the drill isn't on the kitchen table 2 weeks later.
oh the repressed anger.....

It was perfect. Ask anyone. Random strangers were asking BW and me for tent placement tips.

my BF suggested I let it out.
I have a digger so the evidence could be in a DEEEEEP hole.

but another wise one said I would have to tell my children what I had done so think before I act....

I will keep trying to remember the safe place for all the stuff.
and to not put screws in the box he has thrown on the floor...
I did attach all the cot screws to the frame in a plastic bag if I can just remember where I put the cot...

among the various bit n bobs collection i have a bag for "useful" nuts ,bolts ,odd bits of something etc etc that "will be useful eventually" .they often turn out to be just what i needed but usually when i notice them is some time after i bought a thing to do that job while looking for a something else i dont have in the bag

something that does seem to be "normal" for me is if i need 7 of something buying a pack of ten is the best value and often a lot cheaper than getting 7 singles which means when i then need four next time i remember how "expensive singles are and end up with 9 in waiting for a few years as im loathe to pay x for one when 2 1/2 x gets me ten

I have had that trouble with husband Woo. I really don't think leaving tools in the middle of the lounge floor and expecting them to be there in a months time when he wants to finish the job is very helpful. Then I can't remember where I put the tools, which also isn't very helpful.

I put "it" down and turn round, turn back to pick it up and its 'b..w..' gone. And worse, I currently live in a caravan, which is in total area smaller than my other property's sitting room!

Glad to help Woo.

Gregotyn, things get litlle legs and walk sometimes I think. The worst I had was trying to find very small screws when they had fallen on an anti static floor which is black and another colour (usually yellow) mixture. We sometimes had to give up and go and get some more.

I often find that by using a bent piece of twig I can find missing things.

we have an arrangement with the house sprites .they hide things and even if we ask nicely they dont often give them back.
