Moving from rack & cloth pressing so have my press for sale. A rather over engineered press made by a mate who is a blacksmith. Press bed is 1m2, comes with a stainless tray, about 12-15 HDPE racks and press cloths (IIRC the racks are 60x60cm) Runs off a 20t air ratchet hydraulic jack which is included. Whole thing was planned to be upgraded to use 2 side rams in the future so I could increase the rack size. With mixed apples on the 20t jack I was seeing 68% juice from apple weight, obviously depends on apples used.

It is big! IIRC 8ft tall, about 1.2m2 base, built out of 4mm wall steel box.

It was designed to have single stroke rams fitted either side, did have the calcs we did when we built it but IIRC it would do 80cm2 racks built to over a metre high

i had considered getting our own kit for the community orchard but we would have to plant the racecourse to feed that beast

As my Nan used to say "what'll hold a lot will hold a little"! Last year we did 3 tonnes in an afternoon without breaking a sweat (too much!)
