Basically iirc correctly when you visit here, some first party cookies are used to recall your login, where you are on posts and other stuff to help you.

Third party cookies are from advertisers on sites you visit which track you for their benefit.

possibly a browser upgrade included a 3rd party cookie eater among the privacy and security features

the decent ones often do
