Looked at this site today:

It gives the low down on a lot of the cheap/free deals there are constantly advertised, and exposes the problems you will face if you think you can get online for free or very low cost.

Well worth the read if you are tempted to go down this route.

Reputable web hosting is not terribly expensive, in my opinion reputable can be had for "almost" very low cost and is well worth the extra.

That was interesting, have saved it. I hope to be needing it in the not too distant future for an upcoming project.

All a matter of specific expertise though, "hosting" has its own particular pitfalls, so unless your "guru" has done his stuff in this area, it may be better to ask a few people that have.

The phrase "Computer Guru" these days, is a bit like saying "Farming guru" it is unlikely that many people have absolute across the board knowledge.
